My friend Erin McKeown now has her very own guitar tabs site. Erin is an amazing guitar player, truly one of the most inspiring I’ve seen. And at least one of the tabs (“Daisy and Prudence”) includes some extra hints from the lady herself!
Just stumbled across this old TV show, featuring an interview and performance from Ani, circa 1994. Awesome to see Ani tearing it up as a duo, just her and Andy Stochansky… this was when I first got to know her music.
Please take 2 seconds to hop over to the PDX Pop Now site, and request that Leigh Marble play their 2009 festival. PDX Pop is a 3-day, free, all-ages music festival held every summer in Portland, OR.
Just put “Leigh Marble” into the request form and hit the button. That’s it:
They are only taking requests through March, so please act now!
...Thank you. See how easy that was?
Well, it’s been a long time coming, but Anitabs has finally gotten a facelift and a new home! Please update your bookmarks to point to Anitabs.net.
I’ll be starting off this new site with the same tabs as before… in other words, no new content yet. However, a bunch of new tabs will soon be debuting here, with some surprises in store. Can’t say any more right now…
Cheers,
Leigh
I was interviewed about Ani for an article in Venus Zine titled “The Greatest Female Guitarists of All Time”. For your clarification, there is a small misquote in there - “bass sequence” was actually “bass frequencies” (it was a phone interview and I was probably talking fast, so this was slightly lost in translation).
