Letter to a John

from Out of Range

Tuning: DADGBD

Chorus (no words):

For those of you figuring out 'letter to a john' i believe that it's played
in drop D, and capoed on the second fret:

e--------------------
B--3---3---3---3-----
G--2---2---0---0-----
D--0---0---0---2-----
A--0---0---2---------
D--0---2-------------

note that this is a very rough approximation. the playing of the second
fret on the low E string can be done with the thumb. also note that the high
e string is rarely touched in all cases except for the guitar solo.

for the chorus, it goes back and forth between an Em7 (i think) and an Am7.
the last strum before it breaks and goes back to the verse is a full Em chord, sans the bass string, like so:

e--------------------
B---0---1---0--------
G---0---0---0--------
D---0---2---2--------
A---2---0---2--------
D--------------------
